WordPress & Beaver Builder
WordPress & Beaver Builder; our preferred page builder
Beaver Builder is my preferred drag and drop page builder for WordPress. It works on the front end, so you can see what’s happening as it happens (live front-end editing) and there’s no need to know html or css – which means that clients can make edits themselves.
Complex pages with WordPress & Beaver Builder
It’s easy to build complex pages with Beaver Builder but it’s just as easy to edit existing pages.
Beaver Builder comes in a Lite, free version and a paid Pro version. It works with most themes, although I tend to stick to the Beaver Builder theme or WP Astra. It’s fast, lightweight and makes beautiful responsive pages.
Beaver Builder comes with some pre-built page templates so if you want to you can just choose one of these, then swap the images and text for your own.
It’s even possible to create your own templates from pages that you’ve created, and reuse them elsewhere.
Or you can save Rows and Modules so that you can re-use them again and again. A real time saver.
You can even save Rows and Modules as ‘Global’ items, so that if you make later changes to those Rows or Modules, those changes take effect all over your site.
Beaver Builder comes with many modules like these:
- Pricing tables
- Call to Action
I also use an extra plugin called Beaver Themer which allows you to build layouts for the pages and parts of pages normally controlled by the WordPress theme: header, footer, sidebar, post pages, 404 pages and specific locations on posts and pages. For example, you can create a custom header layout for your home page and a different header for the other pages on your site. Or on an e-commerce site, you can have one Themer header for normal pages and a different Themer header for shop pages.
This versatility makes Beaver Builder and Beaver Themer a winning combination with all the flexibility you can wish for.
For those occasions where I need a little extra functionality, I also use Ultimate Addons from Ultimate Beaver, a BB compatible plugin.
Why not try out the Beaver Builder Demo - just choose the Page Builder Demo option.
